The Food Security Task Force of the Richmond Poverty Response Committee hosted a Town Hall meeting to discuss a vision for the Garden City Lands. A panel of speakers including Kim Sutherland, agrologist with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, Ione Smith from Smart Growth BC and Gary King, organic farmer supplier to John Bishop of Bishop's Restaurant.

Housing Alternatives in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor

On Wednesday May 9th, 2007 corridor land use professionals and interested citizens gathered from 5:00pm -6:00pm for a tour of Beaver Flats and heard presentations from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Citizens, community leaders, and experts discussed a range of alternatives for housing that is affordable, community-oriented, ecologically friendly and healthy. Our speakers and presentations:
