Victoria Coolaid Society
The Victoria Coolaid Housing Society addressed a number of smart growth issues when they built Mike Gidora Place in downtown Victoria. Mike Gidora Place is an important step in maintaining affordable rental housing and revitalizing critical community space in the downtown core.
The model recognizes that private / public / non profit partnerships can contribute positively to meeting pressing social and economic needs within our communities.
Opened in September 2000, the project features 45 residential units and ground floor office, retail and community activity space.
